The 10 prompts

Copy any prompt below into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Copilot. Fill in the [brackets]. Read every answer before you use it, and remove client names before you paste notes into a free tool.

01 Start a project checklist

I am starting feasibility research for a [project type]. Create a project checklist organized by: zoning, building code, accessibility, fire/life safety, structural, MEP, sustainability, client decisions, and consultant questions. For each item, include what source or consultant should verify it.

02 Plan code research

I am researching a [project]. Create a code research plan for occupant load, egress, accessibility, restroom count, and local approvals. For each topic: explain why it matters, list official sources to check, and give questions for the building department. Do not provide final compliance conclusions.

03 Read a zoning or code PDF

Use only the uploaded document. Identify sections that may affect this project. Quote or cite section numbers where possible. If the document does not answer a question, say so.

04 Meeting notes to action items

Turn these rough meeting notes into: 1. Short summary 2. Key decisions 3. Open questions 4. Action items by responsible party 5. Items that need confirmation. Do not invent deadlines.

05 Explain an issue to a client

Explain this issue to a non-technical client in simple terms: [issue]. The client needs to understand why it matters, what we know, what we still need to verify, and the next step. Tone: calm, clear, not alarming. Length: 3 short paragraphs.

06 Compare product data sheets

Compare these uploaded product sheets. Create a table of warranty, slip resistance, cleaning requirements, recycled content, VOC information, and installation constraints. If a data point is missing, write "not found."

07 Review your own email

Review this email before I send it. Improve clarity and tone. Keep my message direct and professional. Do not make it longer.

08 Plan your day

Here are my project notes for today. Turn them into a short priority list with next actions. Flag anything that needs outside confirmation.

09 Set up a project assistant

You are helping me manage project communication for a small architecture project. Write in clear, calm, professional language. Do not make promises about cost, schedule, code compliance, or consultant conclusions unless I provide that information. When uncertain, ask what needs verification.

10 End every task with this

What should I verify before relying on this?
